About Us

Thanks so much for visiting us here at ThePerchStore.net.  We thought we’d take just a few moments to share a little about us – who we are, what we do, etc. 

ThePerchStore.net and our “sister” site, ThePerch.net started back in 2003 as a simple message board called “Pretty Parrots”.  Not too long after we started the message board we decided to open an online store selling everything parrot and pet-bird lovers needed.  The store was very popular and we eventually changed the name of the site to ThePerch.net.  In May, 2006 we opened the store on it’s own site – ThePerchStore.net. 

ThePerchStore.net is owned and operated by two animal loving guys.  We both share our homes with several parrots.  Joey has a Congo African Grey named Sam and a Blue Front Amazon named Nemo.  The other parrots below; a Senegal Parrot named Coqui, a Severe Macaw named Micah, a Bare Eyed Cockatoo named Gracie, and a Yellow Collared Macaw named Chico. are owned by a friend/neighbor; And we can’t forget the “four-legged” member of our flock, Andy – a longhair miniature dachshund.

In addition, all of our products are shipped from BIRD FREE warehouses.  There’s no need to worry about anything that we deliver to you having come in contact with other birds first.  All of our food products come in original, factory-sealed packages – we NEVER re-package foods from bulk for re-sale.
